A new shochu is born: Dai Ippo

Good news! Takashima Brewery (Hakuin Masamune) in Numazu City has brewed a new shochu (kome/rice) from ginjo sake white lees that will be put on the market shortly!
It also made use of Shizuoka NEW 5 yeast and drwas 25% alcohol.
I already tasted the sample above. Eminently drinkable straight. Almost sweet.
It promises to be a beauty!
